Why boring stories can help at night

Enough to rest your attention on. Not enough to keep you following.

A quiet voice and predictable subject can give racing thoughts something gentle to return to. The aim is not perfect concentration or a dramatic ending. It is a lower-stimulation alternative to content designed to hold your attention.

How to use them without turning sleep into another task

  1. 01Choose one preview or one story. Avoid searching for the perfect option.
  2. 02Set your phone down and let the audio become background rather than something to complete.
  3. 03If you are still awake, return to the sound without judging the night or trying harder.

Our story

A note from our founder

For years, chronic insomnia was my nightly reality. I tried meditation apps, soundscapes, and every impressive sleep solution I could find.

“I did not need a more impressive sleep app. I needed something boring enough that my brain would finally let go.”

Lull grew from that realization. It is not here to entertain or inspire at bedtime. It is quiet company for the moments when your mind is ready to stop racing.
